As leaders in ministry, you know the stories of the women in your community—the quiet strength of a newly single mother, the silent grief of a widow, and the daily challenge of raising teenagers in a complex world. You see them navigating life in the "fishbowl" of the church, trying to hold it all together with grace.

We invite you to be among the first to preview Wonder Project’s newest original series, It’s Not Like That.

This is a modern family drama that doesn't shy away from the hard stuff. It's a story about hope, finding light after loss, and the powerful dynamic of what we choose to hold onto when our world falls apart.

The Story

Malcolm is a devoted pastor and recently widowed father of three. Lori is a newly divorced mother of two. Their families once did everything together, but now they must navigate their newly minted singledom, parenthood, and the complexities of life in the "fishbowl" of ministry.

It is a show about the powerful dynamic of what we choose to hold onto when everything falls apart—and how, through grace and community, we find our way back.

Why This Matters for Your Ministry

It’s Not Like That offers a unique bridge to the women in your community. It skips the "perfect Christian life" trope in favor of something far more relatable:
Honest Conversations: It addresses the real isolation felt by single mothers and widows in the church.
The "Parenthood" Connection: With the same heart and quality as the beloved NBC drama, this is a series that women will want to watch, opening doors for small group discussions on resilience and hope.
A Theology of Hope: The series beautifully illustrates that even in our most uncertain circumstances, light can still break through.
